Mussoorie located in the foothills of Himalayas is also known as the "Queen of Hills".Established by the British in 1823, Mussoorie became hugely popular with the Raj set. The ghosts of that era linger on in the architecture of the churches, libraries, hotels and summer palaces.Perched on a ridge 2km high, the ‘Queen of Hill Stations’ spends much of the year swathed in clouds. When the mist clears, views of the green Doon Valley and the distant white-capped Himalayan peaks are superb, and in the hot months the cooler temperatures and fresh mountain air make a welcome break from the plains below.

 

Nainital a place of Lakes, Mountains, Adventure, Nature Walks, Beauty, Tranquility, Charm and Hospitality. It is one of the most charismatic hill stations.Founded by the British in 1841, Nainital, at 1,934 m above sea level, is a popular resort in the Shivalik Range. Surrounded by forested hills, the town is set around the Naini lake.Best season to visit is all through the year, though there is heavy snow fall during winters.

 

Ranikhet  is a  picturesque cantonment town surrounded by hills in northern India,situated in the Almora district of the Indian state Uttarakhand.It was the place of interest for British who frequented this place to escape from the sweltering heat of the Indian subcontinent during their rule.Ranikhet is all about famous lush beauty and reserve forest with wide varieties of Flora in the likes of Pine, Oak and Deodar trees. Its wildlife includes leopard, Leopard cat, mountain goat, barking deer, pine mertin, Indian hare and wild bear among others. The inhabitants are friendly and fun loving by nature. You’d love your stay in here and will be mesmerized by its natural treasures for sure.

 

Rishikesh also known as the "Gateway to Garwal Himalayas".Rishikesh is now round the year destination . Pilgrimage, yoga & meditation , white water rafting & camps, wild life Safari in National parks, trekking, Skiing in one of the best slopes etc.Rishikesh, the Mecca for peace seeker through Yoga & meditation has now many Yoga Centers and ashrams conducting yoga classes. Rishikesh is also the beginning point of the pilgramge to Chardham of Yamnotri, Gangotri , kedarnath & Badrinath.Close to Rishikesh is Haridwar or 'the Gateway to the Gods' is one of the seven holiest places according to Hindu mythology, as the Gods are believed to have left their footprints in Haridwar.

 

Jim Corbett National Park, the first wildlife reserve of India, extending over an area of more than 500 sq km in the Himalayan foothills. Corbett national park was established in 1936, as the Hailey National Park. In 1955-56 it has changed to Ramganga National Park and finally Jim Corbett National Park in the honor of legendary hunter-turned- conservationist, best known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in the Kumaon and lower Garwal in the 1920s. Corbett is home to over 585 species of birds, 7 species of amphibians, 33 species of reptiles, 7 species of fishes and 37 species of dragonflies.Although the main highlights of Jim Corbett Park are the endangered Bengal tigers, leopards and crocodiles; yet other wildlife animals like sambas, hogs, otters, boars, elephants, sloths, gorals, pangolins and langurs can also be easily spotted here.

 

Binsar, located in the serene and heavenly Kumaon hills, lies 25 kilometers north-east of the town of Almora. Binsar is situated in the midst of a forest reserve known as the ‘Binsar Reserve’ which has been declared as a wildlife sanctuary. Binsar is perched on top of the Jhandi Dhar hills and completely surrounded by dense forests. Oak, rhododendron, pine and deodar grow in amazing abundance. The forests of Himalayan oak and rhododendron are excellent for trekking. The chief attraction of Binsar is the majestic view of the Himalayas – a 300 kms, stretch on famous peaks which includes Kedarnath, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Nanda Kot and Panchchuli.

 

Mukteshwar, At 8000 ft, is an idyllic sojourn in the lap of the mountains and rolling meadows. Surrounded by fruit orchards and thick coniferous forest it provides a majestic view of the Himalayas. It is popular for the centuries old Shiva Temple, Chauthijalli rock formations, Angora wool sheep farm, rejuvenating forest walks and enchanting sunsets.

 

Ramgarh is a picturesque hamlet in the heart of orchard land in the foothills of the Himalayas, located 25 kms from Nainital. Many writers and thinkers have been drawn to the beauty of Ramgarh and it is an ideal place for long walks, to let your creative juices flow or just unwind or introspect. This is the place where Rabindranath Tagore was inspired to write his Nobel Prize-winning collection of poems, Gitanjali.
